This is an open letter to all young attractive white women. For the foreseeable future, please take precautions with your personal safety. Consider these steps:
1. Go nowhere alone at night.
2. Travel in packs.
3. Go only to well-lit, public places.
4. Consider purchasing a gun or at least a taser.
5. Review your home security and upgrade if necessary.
Your personal safety is of paramount importance in the coming weeks and months. I'm not being facetious - I'm dead serious. Because if a single, solitary one of you vanishes in the near future, we as Americans can kiss goodbye any chance we might now have of finding out what's behind the collosal fuck-up that is the emergency response to Katrina.

But seriously -- I'm sure the media would be thrilled to pounce on an easy story about the Mysterious Disappearance of a pretty blonde young woman. So much easier than analyzing the spinning and blaming that has gotten underway faster than the relief effort itself.
But with the anniversary of 9/11 looming in a week, and given the gnat-like attention span of the public, I'm guessing the spotlight and news cameras will be on flag-waving any day now....
Oh gosh, that was the first laugh I've had in over a week. Well said!
